Business Photos Service

On Thursday, 5th of May 2011, Google announced that they would be launching their Business Photos service to enable business owners to showcase their businesses via Google Places and Google Maps.

Initially, this service will be rolled out in the United States, Japan, Australia and New Zealand with other countries following, as per demand. Businesses within the UK can already upload photos via their Google Places listing and this is where the Photography by Sandy Business Photos Service will help promote your business and your listing ahead of your competitors.

Google Places allows you to upload up to 10 photos. Some larger businesses will want to use their full allocation and upload 10 photos but other smaller businesses will be happy to upload less so Sandy has put together the following options to cater for companies of all sizes and requirements:

* Select 5 images from at least 10 - for only £100

* Select 8 images from at least 16 - for only £150

* Select 12 images from at least 24 - for only £200

The above fees include time spent on the shoot and provide you with full-sized images that you own and that you can use with Unlimited Usage for all marketing, advertising, print and web purposes for a period of 2 years.

 

That's not all because you'll also be able to take advantage of the benefits of the Photography by Sandy Standard Service below:

Dependant upon the workload for the day that the shoot takes place,  Sandy will aim to upload all unprocessed images to a unique password protected gallery within 4 hours of completion of the shoot.
Galleries are set-up to enable fast and easy to use online proofing.  Images within the Client's Gallery are hidden from view to all other website visitors.
Standard processing will then be undertaken upon the client's selections. 
Upon final selection of images they will then be made available for instant download. 
If required, duplicate web-optimised images can also be generated for internet display purposes and also made available for download at no extra cost.
Timescales for completion of the whole process is dependant upon workload for the day of the shoot, travelling involved, number of images required and whether additional Post Processing and Image Manipulation is required.

 

How does Google's Business Photos Service compare to the Photography by Sandy Business Photos Service?

Google will arrange for one of their Photographers to visit your premises and take photos for you however they will own all the photos and you will not be able to use them for any other purposes.

Photography by Sandy will supply the number of photos requested as per the option selected from above and you will own all those photos to do as you like with for a period of 2 years.

It is likely that you will have to wait months before a Google Photographer will be able to visit you. You may then have to wait again before Google upload them to your account. This is all very valuable time in which your competitors can get a headstart on you. Are you willing to wait? Can you risk waiting?

Photography by Sandy will visit your premises when it is convenient for you and it's unlikely that you'll have to wait for more than 2 weeks from initial contact. You'll also receive the image files on the same day as the shoot.

Should you require a re-shoot for whatever reason, due to a refurbishment etc then Google advise that you should upload your own Photos as they are likely to be too busy to do a re-shoot because of demand.

Photography by Sandy will arrange and conduct a re-shoot for you .....for half price..... should you require it within 9 months of the original shoot.

Google selects the photos that they use on your Google Places listing - not you! And you'll not know, whether they present your business in the manner that you'd like or not until they've been uploaded for you. Google suggest that if you don't like them then you should upload your own.

Photography by Sandy will present you with a number of photos from which you can select the best shots to use and display on your Places or Maps Page - It'll then be your choice and you'll be getting it right first time from the start.
